About Don Bacon:
Raised on a farm in Illinois, Congressman Don Bacon worked his way through school and married his college sweetheart, Angie, in 1984. He joined the United States Air Force in 1985 and served our nation for nearly 30 years, retiring as a Brigadier General. When choosing where to retire, they decided on Sarpy County because it was the only place that really felt like home. He knew he had more to offer his country, so he ran for Congress in Nebraska’s Second District. In 2016 he was the only Republican to defeat an incumbent congressional Democrat in America, and he became the first federally elected official from Sarpy County. We are proud to have Don Bacon represent NE02, which includes the majority of Sarpy County.
Thank you, Don!
Keynote Speaker: Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler
Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler is a life-long farmer, small business owner, and former public school teacher. She was first elected to public office in 1994 as a State Representative in the Missouri General Assembly. In 2010 Representative Hartzler was elected to Congress, defeating a 17-term Democrat incumbent. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, she serves as the Ranking Member of the Tactical Air and Land Forces Subcommittee. She also serves on the House Agriculture Committee. Congresswoman Hartzler is pro-life, believing that life begins at conception. “At that point, every life has a plan, a purpose, and a destiny that is snuffed out if their life is ended through abortion.”
